A future expansion developed jointly in-house by Tripwire and the mod community, which previously worked on expanding RO1, is set to be released later after the initial release of HoS. The game simulates realistic bullet/projectile ballistics and physics.Īs the title pretty much gives away, the gameplay is focused around the epic battle of Stalingrad. Set on the eastern front during world war two, the game is focused on bringing a realistic experience of squad based warfare with an emphasis on tactics. RO2 is a sequel to the acclaimed first person shooter Red Orchestra produced by Tripwire interactive. With the new graphics engine and even more emphasis on realism, this is going to be the game of the year for fans of games focusing around the events of this era. I've played the first game extensively, and although the graphics engine is very much showing its age by todays standards (RO1 was released back in early 2006 and have sold over 400K copies by now) the realistic simulation of bullet and projectile physics and damage models still makes the gameplay very attractive. I am very much looking forward to the release of this game.
